Who is nancy???
Nancy Bassett is the Career Readiness Specialist at AAMA Work & Learn Center, where she helps young adults find their path forward. Encouraged by her students, she started Worth Up Bible Study, a group dedicated to empowering women through faith.
Nancy’s journey has taken her from a comfortable upbringing to graduating from Prairie View A&M University, living in Asia, and building a career in education and non-profits. But she’s no stranger to life’s setbacks. Nancy understands firsthand the damage that rejection, abuse, addiction, mental illness, promiscuity, and bitterness towards God can have on a girl’s or woman’s sense of self-worth.
Driven by her own experiences, Nancy is passionate about helping others rebuild their self-worth. Her mission is to walk alongside women as they grow in confidence and faith, knowing that real life isn’t always easy, but it’s worth the journey.
